Pastoral Council

Constitution: We, the people of St. Mary Star of the Sea, a believing community professing our faith in God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, are called to a life of proclamation of the Good News, worship, communion and service in our area of the Diocese of Wilmington.

In communion with our Holy Father and the universal Church, in union with our Bishop, and under the leadership of our Pastor, we unite to form a Parish Pastoral Council.

We do so conscious of our membership in the Body of Christ and that in this body “there are different gifts by the same Spirit (and) different ministries but the same Lord” (1Corinthians, 12:4-5). We acknowledge that each of us is called to share the gifts we have been given for the service of the whole body, “so that, in everything, God may receive the glory, through Jesus Christ” (1Peter, 4:11).
